Menachem Moscovitz is the executive director of Mesivta of Las Vegas and chief cantor during high holidays at Congregation Ahavas Yisroel in Flushing, New York. When he is not leading Mesivta of Las Vegas, Menachem Moscovitz attends a number of relevant events, including the Torah Umesorah Principals Conference.
The annual Torah Umesorah (TU) Midwinter Principals Conference takes place in Houston, Texas, between January 21 and 23, 2018. Highlighted by feature presenter Matis Miller, the conference will focus on mindfulness as an invaluable tool for educational leaders and faculty. Mindfulness can provide educational leaders with a number of benefits, including increased focus and improved productivity. Regularly engaging in mindfulness can also help a principal’s ability to come up with efficient, creative solutions to common problems.
The discussion on mindfulness will be led by Mr. Miller, LCSW, ACT, a board certified cognitive and dialectical behavioral therapist and licensed clinical social worker. Matis Miller founded The Center for Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy of New Jersey and continues to lead the organization as director and supervisor. His private practice in Lakewood, New Jersey, is informed by affiliation with the Mashgiach, Rav Mattisyahu Solomon, Shlita.
